Hangar 01
Last year, we embarked on a journey to establish our first-ever RSO office, Hangar 01. Some of the most talented minds, from business to government, will use this space for collaboration, opportunity, and problem-solving.

Event
Advanced Manufacturing Olympics
On October 20-23, 2020, the RSO hosted the inaugural Advanced Manufacturing Olympics (AMO), a state-of-the-art virtual conference, to bring together experts across government, industry, academia and business. AMO was four days of unforgettable technical experiences, cutting-edge speakers, virtual peer networking and more.
Our Process
Our approach is a three-step process with distinct but overlapping phases to ensure potential new solutions are prototyped and tested quickly, and optimized for success at scale. The RSO is focused on a set of six core technology areas where emerging and commercial technology solutions have outsized impact on increasing readiness and decreasing costs.
Identify
Identify, assess and develop mature, new and emerging technologies from across the public and private sectors.
Apply
Prototype, validate and verify the utility of a solution in an Air Force environment.
Scale
Deploy technology or processes across the Air Force enterprise that successfully demonstrate the ability to decrease cost and/or increase readiness.
